VIRAT Kohli had a fruitful Test series against the West Indies and became the first batter to score a century in his 500th international game. Kohli was also part of the ODI series but did not get a chance to face even a single ball.
Kohli was pushed down the order in the first ODI to give a chance to the youngsters while he was not part of the team for the second and third ODI. Rohit Sharma was also rested from the final two ODIs, with Hardik Pandya leading the team.
Team India faced a lot of criticism for resting Kohli and Rohit, especially after they suffered a crushing defeat in the second ODI. However, the management backed the youngsters who thrashed West Indies in the final ODI to help India win the series 2-1.
Kohli and other senior players, including captain Rohit Sharma, are not part of the T20I series. The Indian cricket team will be led by Hardik Pandya in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, as per reports, Global Air Charter Services arranged a special flight for Virat Kohli from West Indies to India. The fans are in awe of the popularity of Kohli.
