India batter Virat Kohli was dismissed by Australia pacer Mitchell Starc in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar series at the Adelaide Oval. Kohli did play some confident shots in his innings of 7, however he was dismissed by Starc a few minutes before lunch.
The India batter was actually looking to leave the out-swinging delivery, but the ball ended up nicking his bat and went straight into the hands of Steve Smith, who was standing on second slip.
Following a century in the first Test, Indian fans were expecting Kohli to once again deliver in the second Test, however it didn’t happen. Kohli was dismissed in the 21st over, leaving India on 77/3.
The 36-year-old ended up being the third India batter, who was dismissed by Starc in the innings. Following the dismissal, fans flocked to social media and started trolling Kohli. I respect you, but as an honest Indian cricket fan I believe you should consider giving up your spot for the betterment of the team. You struggle to bat in test match and can’t even defend a ball. So It’s better to retire with dignity🙏
