Virender Sehwag s clone Jeevan Sharma is ecstatic after his hero s record-breaking double century on Thursday against West Indies at Indore.
Sehwag on Thursday became the highest run scorer in One-Day International (ODI) by scoring 219 runs to break Sachin Tendulkar s record.
Expressing his delight, Sharma was quoted in MiD DAY as saying, "I have worked as Sehwag's duplicate in many ad films. Producers have also approached me to copy him in comedy and stage shows as well as on television. I hope this feat opens a window of opportunity for me. I am expecting more producers to approach me to work as Sehwag.
"Sehwag's big knocks have always come as a blessing to me in financial crises," he added. "I owe everything to Sehwag's face. What I am now is because of him. Whenever he scores big, I get a lot of appreciation in return."
Sharma who had an opportunity to meet Sehwag during the World Cup says he is eager to meet him again.
"I am eagerly waiting to congratulate him for his double ton," he said.
He further adds that Sehwag is also capable of breaking Brian Lara s record of 400 runs in Test cricket.
Considering the pace with which he scores his runs, I am certain that he will soon break Lara's Test record soon," he said.
