Former India opener Virender Sehwag was felicitated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before the first day’s play between India and South Africa 2015, fourth Test at Delhi. Sehwag had announced his retirement from international cricket in October 2015, which brought and end to a glorious 15-year career. BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur was the one, who presented Sehwag with a memento. Sehwag was accompanied by his two children . India have already wrapped up the series but they will be eager to end the series on a high by winning their for the next 6 mints or so. Sehwag was also part of the Indian teams that won the T20I World Cup in 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, both under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Sehwag is the only Indian batsman to have scored a triple century. He has achieved that feat twice, once against Pakistan (309) and South Africa (319). He also scored a century on debut against South Africa at Bloemfontein. He formed a formidable partnership with his Delhi teammate Gautam Gambhir in the latter stages of his career in all formats and the pair were instrumental in India’s success in that period. Coming back to the ongoing series, India registered comfortable wins at Mohali and Nagpur, thereby winning the series 2-0. The Bengaluru Test was washed out. Ravichandran Ashwin has been India’s best bowler in the series. He has wrecked havoc along with his fellow spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra.
