Virender Sehwag was caught leg before off the bowling of Jeevan Mendis as Kings XI Punjab lost their fourth wicket for 113 runs after 11.5 overs in the fifth match of the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) 2014 series. Sehwag departed for a score of 31 from 25 balls in an innings that contained three fours and a six.

Barbados Tridents posted 174 for the loss of six wickets against KXIP. Dilshan Munaweera scored a quickfire 50 off 26 balls to propel the visitors off to a spanking start. KXIP managed to stop the flow of runs in the middle overs courtesy regular wickets by Parvinder Awana and Thisara Perera before Raymon Reifer smashed 60 off 42 balls to guide them to the challenging total.
