Retired legend, VVS Laxman took to Twitter to lavish praise on youngster Lokesh Rahul for on scoring his maiden Test Hundred. The century came against Australia, playing at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on third Day of the fourth Test in the ongoing series.
Laxman said, “Congrats rahul on ur maiden test 100.” He also praised the team management for selecting him again in spite of a disastrous debut Test at MCG. “Also (congratulations) to the team management for believing in his potential & talent after a poor MCG test,” said Laxman.

Laxman has played 134 Tests for India amassing 8,781 runs, at an average of 45.97. His illustrious career consisted of 17 hundreds and 56 half-centuries. Six of Laxman’s centuries came against Australia, with four of them in Australia.
