The Board of Control for Cricket in India and England & Wales Cricket Board announced the schedule for the upcoming home series of the India women’s team against England. The series will comprise three ODIs and three T20Is.

The ODIs will be a part of the ICC Women’s Championship and will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The T20Is will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. (ALSO READ: I believe I will be able to get the team together again: Mithali Raj)

England will play a warm-up game against BP XI on 18th February at the Wankhede stadium.

Indian women’s team are currently in New Zealand for three ODIS and three T20Is under new coach WV Raman.

England, the reigning World Cup champions, last faced India, in the ICC Women’s World T20 semi-final in the Caribbean in November last year. India were knocked out in a one-sided affair. England however, lost to Australia in the final.

England last toured India in March 2018 for a T20I tri-series in Mumbai, where they finished runners-up to Australia. In the three ODIs at Nagpur, India won 2-1.

The ODI series will be India’s second assignment under new coach WV Raman.
