Former Pakistan fast bowlers Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar will not be commentating during the final One-Day International (ODI) between India and South Africa due to security reasons. he match is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium at Mumbai on October 25. Earlier on Monday, the Shiv Sena had barged into the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters in Mumbai as they did not want dialogues between Presiden Shashank Manohar and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Shahryar Khan. The President of both boards were supposed to discuss the possibility of having an Indo-Pak bilateral series in the near future. Shiv Sena, who have an alliance with the ruling party Bharitiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra, barged into the office of Manohar and raised slogan against Shahryar and also showed blag flags in protest of the talks between the two nations, with allegations of Pakistan violating ceasefire violation on a regular basis at the border. The local party say that they are doing this for the benefit of the country.
Due to this the talks between the BCCI and PCB have been called off. “The talks are not happening as of now due to the current situation but you cannot say that it won’t happen in future,” a top BCCI source told PTI. South Africa lead the five-match series against India 2-1. The next match will be played at Chennai and then the teams will move to Mumbai for the final ODI. South Africa suffered a major blow when they found out that JP Duminy is going to miss the remaining matches in the ODI series due too injury. Dean Elgar has been named as his replacement.
