Sri Lankan legend and one of the all time greats, Kumar Sangakkara is not just a wizard with the willow, but he is a master behind the wickets too. The elegant southpaw, who retired from international cricket last year, has continued to partake in the Twenty20 (T20) leagues around the world. After playing in NatWest T20 Blast, he is currently in the Caribbean. ALSO SEE: AB de Villiers getting a nasty blow on the head and then proving why he is the BEST.
Playing for the Chris Gayle-led Jamaica Tallawahs (JT) in the fourth season of Caribbean Premier League (2016), Sangakkara continues to do what he knows best, ie score runs and take blinders with the keeping gloves on. On one such recent occasion, the Sri Lankan master took a spectacular one-handed catch diving towards his wrong arm. Check the video here:
What made the catch more special was the fact that it came in the crucial moments of the game as Trinbago Kinght Riders (TKR) were 39 runs away from the win with 23 balls and four wickets left. This is when Kevon Cooper tried to run down a Andre Russell delivery towards the third man, but ended up being pouched brilliantly by Sanga. The former captain of the island team earlier scored 23 runs in his side’s 19-run win.
