Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) face each other for the 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on April 23. SRH were batting first in the match, and had a bad time on the field from the start to the end. The team had lost 4 wickets in the powerplay itself. The dismissal of Ishan Kishan in the match is now a topic that is being discussed on a great level.
Ishan Kishan was caught behind the stumps, however, no one had appealed for this and to add to the misery, the ball did not even had any contact with the bat. Ishan also did not decide to review the umpire’s decision, to which fans and experts have raised eyebrows on their judgement abilities.
Ishan Kishan’s controversial dismissal:
During the first ball of third over of SRH innings, Ishan Kishan tried to play a good length delivery on the leg stump. Neither had Mumbai players appealed nor the umpire had given out, but Ishan started walking out of the field. The umpire was confused on this incident, but raised his finger.
The Mumbai players praised Ishan Kishan for deciding to go back to the dugout. However, after a while of Ishan walking out, the Ultra Edge was used to check the dismissal- which revealed that there was no contact of the ball with the bat at any point.
