Thousands of fans flocked to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in order to catch a glimpse of Virat Kohli, who made his return to the Ranji Trophy after almost 13 years on Thursday. The star batter took the field for Delhi in their clash against Railways and was welcomed with chants of ‘RCB, RCB’ by the huge crowd.

One of the fans even breached security to meet Kohli, who was fielding for Delhi. The fan bowed down to Kohli and touch his feet before he was pulled away by security. The video of the incident is now making rounds on social media.

Later, another video surfaced on social media where the star batter was seen telling the security guards to not beat the fan for his actions.

This moment also went viral instantly with fans showing admiration towards the star player for his humility and sportsmanship.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) had allowed free entry to spectators and were expecting around 10,000 people to turn up, however the number turned out to be much bigger than this.
