Watch: Indian team member Mistaken as a fan, Denied entry in Hotel by Police

A member of police stopped throwdown specialist Raghu as he mistook him for a fan, but later realised his mistake and let him go.

As the Indian cricket team reached Nagpur for the first ODI of he three-match ODI series against England, a rather intriguing incident happened. As the players and support staff stepped outside the team bus, throwdown specialist Raghu was denied entry by the police, who had thought he was a fan.

In a video that has been making rounds on social media, after being denied entry to the hotel, Raghu is seen trying to convince the police personnel that he is a member of the team. However, the policemen soon realised their mistake and let Raghu go.

Indian players namely Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and others have arrived in Nagpur ahead of first ODI against England. India will play three-match ODI series against England, beginning February 6. The squad for the series is the same as that for the OC Champions Trophy, with Harshit Rana replacing Jasprit Bumrah.
