India star batter Virat Kohli is set to make his comeback to the Ranji Trophy after almost 13 years. The 36-year-old will be featuring in Delhi’s clash against Railways which will commence from January 30, Thursday.
Ahead of the encounter, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Secretary Ashok Kumar Sharma revealed that entry would be free for the fans, and they just needed to bring the original copy of their Aadhar card. The DDCA secretary is expecting a crowd of 10,000 fans to turn up for the game.
“The Gautam Gambhir Stand will be open for the spectators. The fans can enter from Gate No 16 and 17. Gate No 6 will also be open for the DDCA members and guests. We are expecting a 10,000 crowd for the first day,” Sharma told The Indian Express.
“It’s a free entry. The fans just need to bring their original copy of their Aadhaar card and its photocopy as well. The arrangements for the fans has been made. It will be like any international or an IPL match,” Sharma added.
With the entry being free, hundreds of fans lined up outside the Arun Jaitley Stadium ahead of the first day of the Test. It is safe to say that majority of the fans turned up just to catch a glimpse of Kohli.

In a video which is now making rounds on social media, people can be seen forming long queues outside the stadium to catch a glimpse of the star batter.
