Pakistan left-arm spinner Noman Ali became the first bowler from his country to pick up a hat-trick in Test cricket during the Men in Green’s clash against West Indies in Multan. Noman did so by bagging the wickets of Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach and Kevin Sinclair on 3 consecutive deliveries.

Pakistan, who have been featuring in red-ball cricket since 1952, had never had a bowler who had picked up a hat-trick despite possessing several legends of the game.

Noman put West Indies on the backfoot as the tourists lost 7 wickets for just 38 runs after opting to bat first. It was the 12th over in which Noman achieved the massive feat.

Noman would eventually go on to bag a 5-wicket haul by dismissing Kemar Roach as the Windies got restricted to 95/9 on the first day of the second Test.
