The ongoing Test between India and New Zealand at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur has so far witnessed plenty of twists and turns. From India’s batting collapse in the first innings to Ravindra Jadeja’s sword-fencing after his fifty, there has been plenty of action throughout the match that surely kept the fans intrigued. Jadeja has been among the most important players in the Indian Test side mostly for his bowling. There has been very few occasions when Jadeja does something special with the bat and on this occasion he does so that too in style.
India were in a good position after Rohit Sharma’s half-century and the declaration was expected but captain Virat Kohli waited for Jadeja’s fifty. This is not the first time Jadeja celebrated his Test fifty in this way. Earlier, during a Test against England in 2014, Jadeja did the same after his brisk fifty in the second match at Lord’s. His style of celebration was very much liked by the then Test captain of India MS Dhoni and teammate Shikhar Dhawan. This time too, skipper Kohli liked it but he reacted quite hilariously.
