India’s batter Shreyas Iyer has been subject for a bit of backlash for his unacceptable performance in the ongoing Buchi Babu tournament match.
Playing for Mumbai, Shreyas had to face a bit of struggle in finding his rhythm during the first innings. However, what drew attention towards him was his game in the second innings. Shreyas has always been weak against short balls, which was once again evident as he got dismissed by a bouncer. Shreyas was going for a pull shot but was caught inside the circle.

Even after playing in different formats, Shreyas has struggled to perform against short balls time-after-time, mostly becoming victim to dismissals like these. The lack of ability from Iyer’s side to face this delivery has always been a big factor to have contributed in his batting lineup.
Buchi Babu tournament proves to be of big importance for Shreyas Iyer as he locks in to make a comeback in Test cricket for Indian team. His performance in this tournament will be on a close watch as he looks forward to secure his place in the Test squad.
