During their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill was seen having a heated exchange with the umpire after they gave a controversial dismissal at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Shubman Gill got dismissed by Zeeshan Ansari during the 13th over of GT’s innings. As he was walking his way for the first century if IPL 2025, Jos Buttler sent the ball at shirt fine leg where Harshal Patel threw the ball. Heinrich Klaasen was in front of wickets, and the was came in. Without looking, Klaasen flicked the ball towards the stumps, and they were broken
There were second-decisions on whether the ball had hit the stumps of was it the keeper’s glove. Eventually, the decision went towards the Sunrisers, and Gill eventually had to walk his way back to the pavilion
After the match came to an end, Gill spoke about the incident and said that when a [player given his best, some emotions coming out is a natural thing that happens.
“There was a little bit of a discussion with me and the umpire, sometimes there are so many emotions involved as you give your 110 percent, there are bound to be some emotions,” he said.
Coming to the match, Gujarat Titans inched closer to sealing a playoff spot with a 38-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL match here on Friday.
Invited to bat, skipper Shubman Gill scored a 38-ball 76 before Jos Buttler slammed 64 off 37 deliveries for the Titans.
In reply, Abhishek Sharma (74) gave SRH a solid start but GT bowlers stopped the visitors at 186 for 6.
