John Cena is one of the most popular figures in sports entertainment. The WWE superstar has won numerous world championships. But have you ever imagined him with a cricket bat? Cena, currently in Australia to promote his movie Ferdinand, paid a visit to the Sydney Thunder camp ahead of the 2017-18 BBL.
Cena found a coach in Thunder skipper Shane Watson, perhaps the best-equipped man in town to give Cena tips on batting, bowling and fielding. We hope the discussions did not involve the DRS.
We’re pretty sure @JohnCena could hit a few sixes in the @BBL for the #ThunderNation pic.twitter.com/aC4wvfEldc

Read some #Ferdinand, played some Cricket (poorly) and had a great time the past few days in Sydney until the teacher took attendance in class and I was marked absent… pic.twitter.com/stIOqDeKoW

Cena, 40, is a 16-time world champion and has won 25 championships till date. Apart from acting and wrestling, he has also attained fame as a rapper.
The seventh edition of BBL kicks off on Saturday, December 9, at North Sydney Oval with Aaron Finch’s Melbourne Renegades taking on Thunder. It will be almost a two-month tournament, concluding February 4.
