WBBL 2017-18: Veda Krishnamurthy fails in her maiden Big Bash match

Hobart Hurricanes Women played Adelaide Strikers in the second match of Women’s Big Bash league (WBBL) 2017-18. The Strikers batted brilliantly, posting a total of 183 for 3 in 20 overs. Veda Krishnamurthy, who was playing her first BBL game, bowled an over and conceded 9 runs.

In the second innings, the Hurricanes scored 47 runs in the power play with the loss of two wickets. Veda batted at No. 4, managing a mere 6 runs.  The Hurricanes lost 6 wickets before reaching 100 runs, and eventually lost the game by 45 runs. This was Strikers’ first victory of this season.
