India opener Virender Sehwag said on Tuesday that his side will be happy if Sahara India continues to be the sponsor of the national cricket team.
Sahara India had last week cut all kinds of cricketing ties with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, ending their association which lasted for 11 years.
Sehwag told reporters in Perth, “Sahara are main sponsor for the last couple of years, and we love to have Sahara on our chests, we are pretty happy if Sahara will continue.”
“It’s their decision and we respect their decision, I know Sahara Sri is very fond of cricket and other sports. It’s his decision if he wants to continue with the team he can or otherwise he can pull out,” he added.
The BCCI had offered olive branch to Sahara on Monday, as the president N Srinivasan offering talks with the senior Sahara officials to sort out the issues.

NDTV reported that the Indian cricket board will have plenty of options to rope in as the new sponsor, as a price of Rs. 3.5 crore per match is a small price to pay, to have a name on the team jersey.
