Bangladesh international Sabbir Rahman may have trouble coming his way after he allegedly threatened a couple of fans on facebook via his personal account for poking fun at his poor run of form in the ongoing ODI series against West Indies.

Rahman, who has scored only 15 runs in the first two ODIs, allegedly used foul language and threatened two fans via his personal facebook account of Shabbir Rahaman Roman - used in BCB's official emails. The account has now been deactivated.

BCB's chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said the board would take "appropriate action" after looking into the possible breach in conduct.

"Players, especially national players, are given definitive guidelines on how to behave with fans and on social media," Chowdhury told the Daily Star. "They have been told that they must be very careful when interacting with the public on social media. Since it is out in the public and when it has come to the board's knowledge, if such a breach has occurred it will be referred to the disciplinary committee and appropriate action taken."

Earlier this year, Rahman was stripped of his central contract and banned from domestic cricket for six months after the 26-year-old had physically assaulted a young fan during during a National Cricket League match.
