Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal is controversy’s favourite child. Right from his silly dismissals, dropped catches, hilarious off the field acts and famous request to Imran Khan for promotion to No. 3 in batting order, Akmal junior has been trolled time and again on social media. And now, something from his past resurfaced on social media which will outdo all his previous awkward acts.
We are referring to an old video, which was captured a year ago in Oslo, Norway. Umar had visited the country as a special guest for a cricket match being played between two all-girls teams during a festival organized by Pakistanis in the country. As a kind gesture, Umar decided to play a few balls to light up the crowd. ALSO READ: Virender Sehwag trolls Umar Akmal; triggers India-Pakistan war on Twitter.
But the decision backfired for the cricketer, as he was clean bowled by a Pakistani-Norwegian female leg spinner named Isma Ahmed. A shocked Umar went back to the pavilion smiling sheepishly even as an ecstatic Isma celebrated with her friends. Watch the video of the same below:
Umar had also tweeted a picture from the sidelines of that event, which was also attended by Indian cricketers Mohit Sharma and Mahesh Rawat.
