WEST Indies won the toss and opted to bowl against India in the series final. Given the significance of the game, it was speculated that India will step on the park with a full-strength team, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back in the playing 11.

However, that was not the case to be as the stalwarts continued to sit in the dressing room. The team did make two changes though as Jaydev Unadkat and Ruturaj Gaikwad replaced Axar Patel and Umran Malik.

“Two changes for us. Ruturaj comes in place of Umran and Unadkat comes in place of Axar. Going to the decider the boys are pumped up and looking forward to the game. Looks good (the surface), I don’t think much will change, batting first gives a good opportunity for us to set a good total,” said Hardik Pandya at the toss.

The decision to rest Kohli and Rohit in the series final has not gone down too well with the Indian fans.
