As the entire cricketing fraternity bid adieu to the legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid, ailing Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh too, paid his tribute to “The Wall”, who retired from international cricket on Friday.
“Legend has walked into the cricketing sunset. Privileged to share the dressing room with Jammy”, tweeted Yuvraj, who is currently recovering from a malignant tumour in the United States.
The southpaw, who has spent some time with Dravid in the team, could not stop praising his teammate. “Man with grit, determination and exemplary work ethic. his preparation never dipped his concentration never wavered”, said another tweet from Yuvraj.
The stylish all-rounder who had made his Test debut under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid in 2003, remembers the veteran as an example to follow by generations to come.
Yuvraj also went on to wish Dravid for a better future in life, “Have a great retired life. Wishing you and your family best of health and happiness..”
India’s World Cup hero, Yuvraj is presently undergoing chemotherapy at Boston after he was diagnosed with a rare tumour and is expected to make a comeback later this year.
