Yuvraj Singh, the six-machine recently admitted that dashing Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi sledged him many times when he played for India. Yuvraj made a video to show his support for the Peshawar team in Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Peshawar team is owned by Afridi’s brother, Javed Afridi and surely Afridi himself will be a part of the team. The Pakistan Super League, even before its initiation, has been a talking point for many cricket enthusiasts across the globe and is expected to be hugely successful. Among the five teams, as Yuvraj has revealed, he supports the Peshawar team and one of the reasons is Shahid Afridi’s presence there.
Yuvraj wished the Peshawar team to do well in the much-awaited league. He went on to say that a team which has ‘The Shahid Afridi’ in it is bound to excell. It was evident from Yuvraj’s way of describing Afridi’s sixers that he is quite impressed with the way he hits them as he animatedly praised the sixers. He advised Afridi’s Peshawar team mates not to take his rough words personally as according to Yuvraj, Afridi is very good at heart. Yuvraj mentioned his numerous encounters with Afridi where he had been sledged by the Pakistan all-rounder but said those should be ignored looking at how good a person Afridi is.
Here is the video by Yuvraj Singh:
Shahid Afridi is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League ( BPL) for the side Sylhet Super Stars. Afridi joined the team towards end of the series and took over captaincy from Mushfiqur Rahim and helped the team win the last few matches. He scored a magnificent 41-ball 62 with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes and is expected to do well in the PSL as well.
