Chris Gayle who had earlier in the day equaled Yuvraj Singh‘s record for the fastest Twenty20 (T20) fifty got an amusing reply from Yuvraj on his official Facebook page post. Yuvraj in his post mentioned that he felt disappointed that Gayle could not break his record in less than 12 balls. Yuvraj further adds that he would wants Gayle to break his record for fastest fifty in T20s in just 10 balls. Yuvraj also states that South Africa marvel AB de Villiers could also be in line to break his record of fastest T20 fifty.  Gayle had smashed his 12 ball 50 in Big Bash League (BBL) 2015-16 match between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades. Gayle’s  half century included seven shots which dispatched the ball over the ropes and one boundary en route his fifty. He went on to score 56 off 17 deliveries hitting one more boundary at a strike rate during his 56-run knock was a staggering 329.41.Yuvraj Singh had earlier cracked the fastest T20 fifty in the inaugural T20I World Cup in 2007 match against England, where he carted Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over, a record that stands till date.

But because this is BBL match and not an international T20 hence Yuvraj’s record of the fastest T20I fifty still stands ahead of Gayle unless all T20 records are made official international records.

I’m disappointed #henrygayle who got to fifty in 12 balls Kaka make sure u get it in ten balls next time
