Left-arm India pacer Zaheer Khan, who grabbed one wicket is his six-over spell during Mumbai s Ranji Trophy match against Orissa on the second day, expressed satisfaction on his fitness and said he is regaining confidence.

Zaheer, whose match-fitness will be tested during Mumbai s Ranji clashes, bowled six overs and took one wicket for 20 runs.

The Indian pace spearhead took field for the first time since he suffered a hamstring injury during the Lord s Test against England in July.

Orissa stumbled to 47 for seven in reply to Mumbai s huge total of 529 for eight declared, wherein Dhawal Kulkarni bagged four wickets.

“It s always good to bowl on a track where u really have to bend ur back to get something out of the wkt …tomo is a important day ..”

Zaheer has been included in the 17-member India squad for the Australia tour, which begins on December 26.
