After a long gap of 15 years, Zimbabwe are set to tour Sri Lanka in late June this year. The tour will consist of 5 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and a one-off Test. All the 6 matches will be played across 3 cities Galle, Hambantota, Colombo. The first 2 ODIs will be played at Galle, while the remaining 3 ODIs will take place at Hambantota. The one-off Test will be played at Colombo in R Premadasa Stadium. The last these sides feature in a bilateral series in Sri Lanka was way back in 2001-02, where hosts won the 3-Test series 3-0, while winning both the ODIs as well.

Galle, after a hiatus of 17-years, will see ODI cricket return to its shores, with the last ODI being played at the venue between Sri Lanka and South Africa in 2000. Hambantota itself is set to host an international match after two years. Quite strangely, the one-off Test will be played R Premadasa Stadium that is usually kept for limited-overs cricket. The last Test played here was between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in March 2013.

The Zimbabwe tour will commence from June 30 and continue till July 18 with no Twenty20 International (T20I) being played.

Tour schedule:

June 30: 1st ODI, Galle

July 2: 2nd ODI, Galle

July 6: 3rd ODI, Hambantota

July 8: 4th ODI, Hambantota

July 10: 5th ODI, Hambantota

July 14-18: Only Test, Colombo (RPS)

Post the Zimbabwe tour, India are set to tour the emerald island for a full-fledged cricket tour. Both sides will be engaged in a 3-Test, 5-ODIs and a one-off T20I match.
