Zimbabwe will aim to maintain their domination over the Bangladesh side when they clash in the first Twenty20 International at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Saturday.
Vusi Sibanda‘s sparkling century guided Zimbabwe to a 2-1 series win over Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series at the same venue, earlier this week.
Chasing 247, Sibanda and Hamilton Masakadza gave their side a good start. They added 79 runs for the first wicket before Robiul Islam struck to send Masakadza back to the pavilion. Sibanda found an able partner in Sikandar Raza.
These two batsmen batted for the next 16 overs and cautiously added 56 runs before Ziaur Rahman dismissed Raza.
Teams:
Zimbabwe: Brendan Taylor (c&wk), Tendai Chatara, Hamilton Masakadza, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Toni Panyangara, Vusi Sibanda, Sikandar Raza, Prosper Utseya, Brian Vitori, Max Waller, Sean Williams.
