Zimbabwe ended Day Two of the second Test at 55 for 0, still trailing New Zealand by 527 runs at Bulawayo. New Zealand bowled 30 overs, but failed to pick up a single wicket after declaring at 582 for 4. New Zealand dominated Day Two as Tom Latham, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor all scored centuries to putting the visitors in a superb position. Williamson also became the youngest and the first New Zealand batsman to score a century against all Test playing nation. Ross Taylor and BJ Watling dominated the second day by adding an unbroken stand of 193 runs before New Zealand declared their innings at on 582 for four at Tea. On Day 1 of the second Test match between Zimbabwe and New Zealand at Bulawayo, the visitors won the toss and elected to bat first on a pitch that had nothing to offer for the bowlers. And, yet, again, the Black Caps made full use of the situation and scored 329 for 2 at the end of day’s play.

Opening pair of Chamu Chibhabha and Tino Mawoyo have played sensibly thus far and will be entrusted to see through opening hour of Day Three in a similar manner. Mawoyo has scored a patient 91-ball-20, while Chibhabha has scored at a slightly quicker rate and is unbeaten on 31.
