Zimbabwe were 111 for the loss of three wickets at the end of 25 overs in the first One-Day International (ODI) match against South Africa at Bulawayo.

Hamilton Masakadza and Sean Williams have combined well to put some resistance, but their effort may not be enough considering the steep total. Earlier, Kyle Abbott kept things economical at the beginning, conceding just three runs in his opening spell of four overs. Both openers, Vusi Sibanda and Richmond Mutumbami fell early. Zimbabwe’s captain Brendan Taylor too failed to make much impact with the bat.

For South Africa, Hashim Amla had scored a brilliant century to help South Africa set Zimbabwe a target of 310. He was helped by Quinton de Kock who scored a superb 63. AB de Villiers and JP Duminy too chipped in with some heavy hitting in the death overs.
