Abhishek Sharma scripts history: 1st player in World to achieve this feat after victory in 5th T20I against England

Abhishek Sharma delivered a brilliant performance in the fifth and final T20I against England at the Wankhede Stadium. His massive batting display saw him score a 37-ball century.

This century is Abhishek Sharma’s second international century, with 10 brutal sixes. Sharma’s knock helped India post a massive total of 247/9.

Abhishek’s century was the 2nd fastest by an Indian in T20Is, as he follows Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball century against Sri Lanka. He is also the fourth-fastest overall to score a century.

Now, Abhishek Sharma scripted history as he became the first player in the world to have scored a century against England in less than 40 balls. The previous record was held by Aaron Flinch, with a century in 47 balls.
