Adelaide Oval pays tribute to Phil Hughes

Adelaide Oval, the home ground of the South Australian cricket team paid respects to Phil Hughes, by mentioning him in their iconic scoreboard. The photograph was tweeted by Adelaide Oval’s Twitter account. The ground is the venue for India’s second Test against Australia, to played in between December 12 to 16.

Hughes, playing for South Australia, died at Sydney’s St. Vincent’s Hospital on Thursday after failing to recover from a blow on his head that he suffered while batting in a Sheffield Shield match two days ago.

Hughes, who would have turned 26 on November 30, was rushed to the hospital in a critical state and failed to recover after a surgery. He remained in induced coma before succumbing to his injury.
