India’s young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has established himself as a well-settled batter- as he has broken a plethora of records in the batting field. However, he has now stepped out of his usual batting setup and started handling the ball as well. On July 13, he became the youngest Indian to take a wicket in Youth Test (third youngest overall).

While playing against England U-19 at the Kent Country Cricket Ground- Beckenham- he dismissed home skipper Hamza Shaikh. Suryavanshi was bowling left-arm spin, and during the last ball of the 45th over, he sent a full-toss outside the off stump. Hamza tried to send it down the ground- but due to a miscued shot- sent it to Henil Patel at long-off, securing the dismissal.

This dismissal secured Vaibhav Suryavanshi the name of the youngest Indian player. Aged at 14 years and 107 days during the moment, Vaibhav broke the record of Jharkhand’s Manishi, who took 5-58 and 2-30 against South Africa in 2019 while being just over 15 years old.
