Ajinkya Rahane to Rahul Tripathi: 8 players to play for both RR and KKR in IPL
1. Ajinkya Rahane
The veteran India batter started his IPL career at Rajasthan Royals in 2011 and stayed there till 2015. Rahane then had another stint at the franchise from 2018 to 2019 before moving to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2022 season. He made a return to the Kolkata-based franchise in the 2025 season.
2. Trent Boult
The former New Zealand pacer played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2017 season of IPL. Boult went on to feature for the Rajasthan Royals from the 2022 to the 2024 season. The Kiwi’s time at the Rajasthan-based franchise was quite impressive in particular.

3. Yusuf Pathan
The former India batter started his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals, featuring for them from the 2008 to the 2010 season of IPL. Pathan them moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2011 season and became a legend for the franchise, featuring for them till 2017 and playing several memorable knocks.
4. Morne Morkel
The former South Africa pacer featured for the Rajasthan Royals from the 2009 to 2010 season in IPL. Morkel moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2014 season and featured for them till the 2016 season.
5. Prasidh Krishna
The India seamer began his IPL career with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2018 season of IPL and stayed with them till 2021. Krishna then moved to the Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 season and was a part of them till 2024.
6. Rahul Tripathi
The India batter featured for the Rajasthan Royals from the 2018 to the 2019 season of IPL. Tripathi’s services were then acquired by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2020 season and he stayed with the franchise till 2021.
7. Robin Uthappa
The former India wicketkeeper-batter was nothing short of terrific for the Kolkata Knight Riders during his stint with the franchise from the 2014 to the 2019 IPL season. Uthappa moved to the Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 season, but that was the first and last IPL campaign with the franchise.
8. Aaron Finch
The former Australia batter featured for the Rajasthan Royals from the 2009 to the 2010 season of IPL. Finch moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2022 season and only spent a single IPL campaign with the franchise.
