Muhammad Waseem got named as the captain as hosts United Arab Emirates announced 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2025.

Fast bowler Matiullah Khan, along with spinner Simranjeet Singh got their name added in the list as the hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced their 17-member squad for the Asia Cup- set to begin September 9. Matiullah and Simranjeet being added is the only change in the existing squad.
“Prolific opener Muhammad Waseem will lead the 17-member UAE squad in the World Asia Cup 2025 which begins in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, 9 September,” the Emirates Cricket Board said on its website.
UAE are placed in Group A with India, Pakistan and Oman. Their first match in the Asia Cup is against India on September 10 in Dubai, followed by clash against Oman and Pakistan on September 15 and 17 at Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.
