T20 cricket is currently keeping the flow of cricket as of now. The shortest format of the game is on everyone’s minds as the Asia Cup- set to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka, beginning September 9- is being held in the same format, along with the T20 World Cup scheduled for the end of the season.

Before the T20 World Cup, Asia Cup is being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is being held in the 20-over format this time in order to help the teams prepare for the event. The eight teams are highly promising, but there will be special light on the Pakistan team- that too for a various number of reasons. Fans and followers believe the Men in Green to be extremely vulnerable and weak because of their outings, but is that really the case? Let’s have a look at it.

First things first, this Pakistan team is a new team. The national side witnessed a number of changes ever since Mike Hesson took the charge as the head coach, since the former New Zealander has been trying to build a strong team for T20 World Cup. One of the major change Mike did was not including Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan, since they were out of depth in the format for a long time.

Mike Hesson worked as a coach in the Pakistan Super League, which helped him pick batters who bring intent to the team- led by Salman Agha. Apart from Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris and Saim Ayub are some names who are skilled enough to provide big numbers.

Apart from the batting department, Pakistan team’s bowling side also comprises of all the variety that is capable of causing enough damage. However, as a verdict, the overall team is short of depth and intimidating performances that would barely have their opponents sleepless.
