The Champions Trophy was started in 1998, and the upcoming edition in 2025 is going to be the 9th edition of the tournament. New Zealand is the team that holds the record for highest score in the tournament.

In the year 2004, New Zealand was the team that created history at The Oval, as they scored 347 runs for 4 wickets against USA. This score is the highest score ever posted in the history of the tournament.

New Zealand won that match by a massive margin of 210 runs, and the captain of the Kiwis at that time was Stephen Fleming. Nathan Astle was a highlight of the match, as he was unbeaten at 145 runs.

The record of New Zealand has never been broken since it got registered. However, Pakistan team came close to the achievement in 2017.

In the 2017 edition of the tournament, Pakistan team managed to score 338 runs for 4 wickets in 50 overs against India at The Oval ground. Pakistan team missed out on an opportunity to break New Zealand’s record by just 10 runs.

Though Pakistan could not manage to break New Zealand’s record, the Men in Green definitely broke team India’s record.

India has registered the highest score of 331 for 7 against South Africa in Champions Trophy 2013. The Men in Blue were the second-highest scorers of the tournament, until Pakistan took over.
