Change in Indian squad: Uma Chetry replaced Injured Yastika Bhatia for Australia ODIs and Women’s World Cup

With Yastika Bhatia being ruled out from the team, wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry got drafted in Indian squad for the upcoming Australia ODI series and the Women's World Cup.

Since Yastika Bhatia got ruled out with a knee injury, wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry on Thursday was drafted in India’s squad for the upcoming One-Day International series against Australia and for the Women’s World Cup.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated that Bhatia hurt her left knee during their preparatory camp in Visakhapatnam. “The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Yastika Bhatia’s progress and the team wishes Yastika Bhatia a speedy recovery,” the BCCI said in a media release.

Chetry, who now is a part of the India squad for the Australia series and the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, will no longer be a part of the India A squad, which is scheduled to take part in a warm-up match in the World Cup,” it added.
