Delhi Capitals register unwanted feat after defeat to Mumbai Indians: Secure THIS embarrassing record

Delhi Capitals equalled an unwanted record after their 12-run loss to Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in New Delhi. This was the first loss to DC after four consecutive victories in their IPL 2025 campaign. DC were bowled out for 193 in 19 overs while chasing 206 runs.

The Delhi-based franchise had won their matches in Vizag, Bengaluru and Chennai, but lost their match at the home ground in Delhi. DC was well on their way towards their fifth consecutive win of the season, as Karun Nair and Abhishek Porel had stitched up a string 119-run partnership.

However, after the dismissals of Karun, Abhishek and Mitchell Santner, Delhi lineup suffered a collapse, and the team eventually got bowled out in 19 overs. With this loss, DC are now at par with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for most defeats in their home grounds.

RCB had secured this humiliating record last week, as they lost to DC at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Now, Delhi has come to level with Bengaluru, as both the teams have lost 45 matches at their home.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is at the second place on the list with 38 defeats in their home ground Eden Gardens, whereas Mumbai Indians (MI) comes next in the list with 33 defeats at their home ground Wankhede Stadium.
