Fielding stat become Global Humiliation: Pakistan team ranked as one of the Worst? Their position is…

A shocking stat has been revealed about the Pakistan team, which might just lead the team on what they need to improve.

Pakistan team no doubt have performed below par in the past few years- be it the players of the alleged politics in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the team is losing their status as one of the best teams at a fast pace. Recently, the T20I team faced a series defeat to Bangladesh, and also lost an ODI series to West Indies.

The batting side is also becoming a concern for the team along with the drop in performance of the bowling attack comprising of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah. These dips are a major result of the team’s poor outings. One more aspect affecting the team’s performance in their fielding, which does not represent the standard of international cricket by miles.

As per Cricbuzz, Pakistan team have overall dropped 48 catches, missed 98 chances of run-outs, and misfielded 89 times since 2024 began. In terms of catches dropped and misfields, the Men in Green are ranked at the 41st spot in the worst-ranked teams. Their catching efficiency is 81.4%, which are some numbers that should be enough to show light on what the team needs to improve.
