ICC announces new rule: Minimum 7-day Stand-Down period for Concussed players

As per the new rules of ICC, teams will now have to nominate designated concussion replacements for each match.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced new playing conditions throughout the formats- which has included a 7-day stand-down period for players who have been diagnosed with concussion.

In context of concussion protocols, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has stated that there are two protocols that are going to be followed.

The teams will now have to nominate designated concussion replacements for each match they have to play, which is being brought in to curb the home team’s advantage of being able to start a larger group of players.
