Indian team for has been announced for the ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka. Star batter Harmanpreet Kaur is going to lead the team. Along with that, the women’s selection committee of BCCI has appointed Smriti Mandhana to be the vice-captain of the team. However, one of India’s star player has been ignored this time.
The teams in this tournament are India, Sri Lanka and South Africa, and it will be played in a double round robin format. All the matches are to be played in Colombo and India will play their first match against Sri Lanka on 27 April. Each team will play four matches ad the top two will qualify for the final, set to be played in May 11.

BCCI stated in a release that since pacer Renuka Singh Thakur and Titas Sadhu are injured, they were not selected. Renuka was also not taken in for the series against Ireland as she has been facing back pain for some time now.
There are three new additions to the team as Kashvi gautam, Shri Charani and Shuchi Upadhyay have been taken in the team for the first time. Kashvi Gautam took 11 wickets in WPL. Apart from that, Shri Charani and Shuchi Upadhyay have also impressed the selectors.
Shafali Verma performed brilliantly in the WPL 2025. However, she has not been considered to be taken in the team. Shafali scored 304 runs in WPL and was the 4th highest run-scorer. Along with Shafali, Harleen Deol is also not a part of Indian team.
