The Indian senior men’s team is going to face England in a five-match Test series, set to begin June 20. Pacer Harshit Rana has been taken in the squad as a cover, and travelled with the team via train as they reached Leeds- which is the venue for the series opener.

The information of Harshit Rana being with the team was revealed by a source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “He (Harshit) has been added as cover and arrived in Leeds with the team today,” said the BCCI source.

Harshit Rana was a part of India A squad, and played in the first unofficial Test against England Lions in Canterbury. The star pacer had made his debut last year in Australia, but was not named in the initial 18-man squad for the upcoming series.
