Infographic: Virat Kohli and other 4 double centurion Indian captains

Virat Kohli has further enhanced his reputation as a Test cricketer when he slammed his maiden Test double hundred at Antigua on Friday. Doing so, the Indian captain passed several milestones. In Indian cricket’s more than 80-year history, he became the first Indian skipper to slam a double century in overseas.

Before him, Mohammad Azharuddin came close to do that but got out on 192 during a Test against New Zealand at Auckland in February 1990. The last Indian batsman to score a double ton outside the subcontinent was Wasim Jaffer, who achieved the feat during the West Indies tour in 2006. Also Read: Watch Virat Kohli plunders his maiden Test double ton

This year has been phenomenal for Kohli so far and he has scored at bulk in every format. With this double ton, he became the fifth Indian Test skipper to reach the milestone.
