Martin Guptill with wife Laura McGoldrick

New Zealand opener Martin Guptill is presently in India to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though the explosive opener initially missed out on the lucrative league as he was not picked by any franchise during the IPL player auction, he was later signed by Mumbai Indians (MI) as a replacement player for the injured West Indian batsman Lendl Simmons.

Even after arriving in India, he has largely stayed away from the action as he has been given just a solitary game so far where he managed just two runs. He got a game in place of Kieron Pollard, who had to sit out for one game due to illness. And once the burly West Indian recovered and made a comeback, Guptill was again forced to warm the benches.

The Kiwi player however got some respite when the love of his life joined him in Mumbai. His wife Laura McGoldrick, who apparently is a TV presenter with Sky Sports, arrived in Mumbai a few days back and has been with the cricketer since then. Recently, the two went out on a romantic carriage ride in South Mumbai near the iconic Marine Drive, Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel. McGoldrick posted the below image with the accompanying caption. Don’t the two make a great pair?
