Matt Prior’s shining presence – literally and figuratively!

The portrait of Matt Prior on the left is at the age of 21 in 2003, which was taken during the Sussex County Cricket Club photo shoot in Hove, England. The photograph on the right clicked 11 years later almost looks of a different person as he sports a shiny, bald look.

The 33-year-old announced his retirement across every format of cricket on June 11, 2015. He scored 5999 runs in Tests at a very respectable average of 40.18, with seven hundreds at 28 fifties. He also proved his worth behind the stumps, effecting 243 catches and 13 stumpings. Prior also played 69 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in which he scored 1282 runs. He hit three fifties, with a highest of 87. He took 71 catches and stumped eight in ODIs.
