‘No matter how well…’: Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s jibe at selectors when asked about India comeback

It has been a long time since Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been sidelined from international cricket. However, he has openly stated that him being selected is only in the hands of selectors.

It has been a long time since Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a popular bowler known for generating impressive swing, last represented India. Bhuvneshwar last represented India in November 2022, and had not been considered by selectors ever since. Bhuvi has even admitted that sometimes even great performances might not be enough to make a comeback to the national side.

The Indian selection panel is led by Ajit Agarkar, and when Bhuvneshwar Kumar was asked for when he will once again play for India, he stated that the call should be taken only by the selectors. However, there is no say that the team management has Bhuvi in their plans.

The selectors will answer this question. My job is to give my 100 percent on the field, and I am giving it. After the UP League, if I get a chance to play for the state’s senior teams in Mushtaq Ali, Ranji or one-day format, I will try to give my best there too,” Bhuvneshwar told Dainik Jagran.

As a disciplined bowler, my focus is on my fitness and line-length. No matter how well you perform, sometimes luck does not favor you. See, performance is paramount. If someone is consistently playing good cricket then he cannot be ignored for long. So, you should give your 100 percent on the field and leave the rest to the selectors,” he added.
