Pakistan is set to host South Africa in October for a complete all-format tour- which will include two Test matches, three T20Is, and as many ODIs. This upcoming series is going to be a historic one, as the Proteas will play in Pakistan for a red-ball match after a gap of almost 4 years.
The first Test of the series is going to be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium from October 12 to 16, and the second match set to be played in Rawalpindi from October 20 to 24. Notably, this series will mark the first red-ball match that will be played in the venues since their renovation for the ICC Champions Trophy held earlier this year.
The Test matches will be followed by three T20Is between October 28 and November 1. Rawalpindi is going to be the host for this series opener, with Lahore being the stage for the next two matches. The red-ball series will mark the beginning of South Africa’s new World Test Championship (WTC) Cycle.
