Ravindra Jadeja to Ben Stokes: 8 players to feature for both RR and CSK in IPL
1. Ajinkya Rahane
The veteran India batter first joined the Rajasthan Royals in the 2011 season of IPL and stayed with them till 2015. Rahane made a return to the franchise in the 2019 season and played with them till 2019. He joined the Chennai Super Kings in 2023 and stayed with them till the 2024 season, Rahane is the skipper for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing season.
2. Ravichandran Ashwin
The former India spinner joined the Chennai Super Kings in the 2008 season of IPL and stayed with them till 2015. Ashwin made the move to the Rajasthan Royals in 2022 and stayed with them till the 2024 season. His services were acquired by the Chennai-based franchise in the IPL auction last year and thus, he is featuring for them in the ongoing season.

3. Shane Watson
The former Australia all-rounder joined the Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural season of IPL back in 2008 and stayed with them till 2015. Watson later went on to join the Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 season and stayed with them till 2020.
4. Ravindra Jadeja
The veteran India all-rounder began his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals in the 2008 and stayed with them till the 2009 season. Jadeja joined the Chennai Super Kings in the 2012 season and stayed with them till 2015. He made a return to the Chennai-based franchise in the 2018 season and is still with them in the ongoing season.
5. Ben Stokes
The England all-rounder joined the Rajasthan Royals in the 2018 season of IPL and stayed with them till 2021. Stokes later went on to join the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 season, however that turned out to be his first and last campaign with the side.
6. Tim Southee
The former New Zealand seamer joined the Chennai Super Kings in the 2011 season of IPL, however that was the only campaign where he featured for them. Southee went on to join the Rajasthan Royals in the 2014 season and stayed with them till 2015.
7. Chris Morris
The veteran South Africa all-rounder played for the Chennai Super Kings in the 2013 season, but didn’t feature for another campaign with the franchise. Morris joined the Rajasthan Royals in the 2015 IPL season and went on to make a return to the franchise in 2021.
8. Daryl Mitchell
The New Zealand batter joined the Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 season of IPL, but that was the only season that he played for them. Mitchell joined the Chennai Super Kings in the 2024 season but wasn’t retained or bought by the franchise for the 2025 campaign.
